API Access & Data

How do I get my API keys?

Your API keys (username & password) will be automatically provided via email when you subscribe.

Does the API have request limits?

Yes, requests are limited to 2 per second.

For high throughput integrations, we recommend that you import the required data to serve from your own database.

Which regions does The Racing API's data cover?

While the bulk of our data comes from UK & Irish racing, we also offer lower coverage of other regions worldwide. You can view our current data coverage for all regions here.

How frequently is data updated?

Today's racecards, odds and results are updated every 10 minutes.

Tomorrow's racecards and odds are updated hourly.

Future racecards and odds are updated daily.

Subscriptions

How can I upgrade or downgrade my subscription?

You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription by emailing your request to support@theracingapi.com.

Partial refunds are unavailable for plan downgrades. Your current plan subscription will remain active until your next billing date at which point you will be moved to the lower tier plan.

If upgrading your plan, a discount of the amount remaining on your current plan subscription will be applied to the first month of your upgraded plan subscription.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You may cancel any time by emailing your request to support@theracingapi.com.

Partial refunds are unavailable, so your plan will remain active until your next billing date at which point your plan will be cancelled and API access revoked.

Billing

When will I be billed?

When you subscribe, your first payment will be taken straight away or once any specified free trial period ends. From then on, billing will take place monthly on the same day as your first payment.

For example, if your first payment was on the 8th of the month, all subsequent payments will also be taken on the 8th.
