These terms and conditions ("Agreement") sets forth the general terms and conditions of your use of the theracingapi.com website ("Website" or "Service") and any of its related products and services (collectively, "Services"). This Agreement is legally binding between you ("User", "you" or "your") and this Website operator ("Operator", "we", "us" or "our"). By accessing and using the Website and Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to this Agreement, in which case the terms "User", "you" or "your" shall refer to such entity. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with the terms of this Agreement, you must not accept this Agreement and may not access and use the Website and Services. You acknowledge that this Agreement is a contract between you and the Operator, even though it is electronic and is not physically signed by you, and it governs your use of the Website and Services.


Accounts are individual and may not be shared with other developers.

The data we provide is collated from a mix of manual input and third party public sources. We are not, nor do we claim to be, an official provider of horse racing data in any region. All of the data we provide is publicly available from various sources online by the time it is entered in to our database. The Racing API collates and provides rapid access to this data, with advanced queries and proprietary data models. The resale of data acquired directly from use of The Racing API service without permission is forbidden. The Racing API’s data and models are for use in the creation of applications, websites, and data analysis only.

We reserve the right to block any account in the event of non-payment, non-compliance with our regulations on the use of our data or these terms of use in general.

We reserve the right to block any account whose usage we believe is causing technical issues or downtime for the API at any time.

Accounts & Credentials

If you subscribe to The Racing API, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under the account and any other actions taken in connection with it. We may, but have no obligation to, monitor and review new accounts before you may sign in and start using the Services. Providing false contact information of any kind may result in the termination of your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorised uses of your account or any other breaches of security. We will not be liable for any acts or omissions by you, including any damages of any kind incurred as a result of such acts or omissions. We may suspend, disable, or delete your account (or any part thereof) if we determine that you have violated any provision of this Agreement or that your conduct or content would tend to damage our reputation and goodwill. If we delete your account for the foregoing reasons, you may not re-register for our Services. We may block your email address and Internet protocol address to prevent further registration.

Service & Data

The data we provide includes that which is collated from third party public sources, and as such The Racing API will not be held responsible for the absence or inaccuracy of data from its service in the event of downtime, technical issues, missing or incorrect data of any third party data source.

The Racing API will not be held responsible for the absence/failed update of data due to downtime of our service's cloud server/provider.

We are not responsible for how you use our service or the consequences of the use of our service.

We do not hold responsibility for any financial or other losses or damages incurred through the use or termination of our services and data, including but not limited to damages caused by a commercial loss, a loss of benefits, a loss on anticipated earnings, winnings or other profit, interruption of business, loss of commercial information, or any other pecuniary and or consecutive loss.

The information concerning the frequency of data update provided in The Racing API documentation is given as an indication and is not guaranteed.

While The Racing API database contains results and racecards for many regions/courses globally, data coverage will be much higher for some than others. The data coverage page should be checked before subscribing to ensure that your usage requirements are met in this regard, as subscription refunds will not be provided for this reason

We reserve the right to increase or decrease the price of our service/plans at anytime. Users will be given at least 30 days notice before any price increases effecting their subscription plan are to take effect.

Subscriptions, Upgrades, Cancellations & Refunds

You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel your subscription by emailing your request to support@theracingapi.com. Partial refunds are unavailable for plan downgrades and cancellations. Your current plan subscription will remain active until your next billing date at which point you will be moved to the lower tier plan if downgrading. If upgrading your plan, a discount of the amount remaining on your current plan subscription will be applied to the first month of your upgraded plan subscription. If cancelling, your plan will remain active until your next billing date at which point your plan will be cancelled and API access revoked.

Refunds will not be provided by us for lack of usage, nor will they be provided should you decide that you do not need the service or that the data is unsuitable for your needs after subscribing to a paid plan. You must check the documentation thoroughly and contact support@theracingapi.com if you have any questions or doubt regarding the suitability of the data before signing up to any paid plan (for example, to ensure the data coverage for a specific region is sufficient for your needs).


By subscribing to The Racing API, you agree to receive emails regarding the status of your subscription and invoices. We may also send you "promotional emails", from which you will have the option to unsubscribe.

Other Resources

Although the Website and Services may link to other resources (such as websites, mobile applications, etc.), we are not, directly or indirectly, implying any approval, association, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation with any linked resource, unless specifically stated herein. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating, and we do not warrant the offerings of any businesses or individuals or the content of their resources. We do not assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, products, services, and content of any other third parties. You should carefully review the legal statements and other conditions of use of any resource which you access through a link on the Website and Services. You link to any other off-site resources at your own risk.

We reserve the right to modify this Agreement or its terms relating to the Website and Services at any time, effective upon posting of an updated version of this Agreement on the Website. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the Website and Services after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.

Logos & Images

We follow the fair use law providing image sources/urls via the API. All images belong to their authors and we have no ownership of, nor do we host, any image or image url delivered through the API. Some data may also be copyrighted or restricted in some countries. Usage of these images is the responsibility of the user.
